Station 87 with Station 71 due was dipatched to a structure fire with a possible victim inside the residence. Command with 87-21 went on scene and established Coverdale Rd. Command with heavy smoke showing. The occupants returned home just behind 87 Command and advised that there was nobody inside the structure. Engine 87-2 arrived on scene and initiated and interior attack. Engine Tanker 87-9 arrived on scene and set up a supply line to Engine 87-2. 87-19 arrived on scene and was assigned operations.......

Brush Truck For Sale

1988 Chevrolet 1 ton pick-up, Dualey, 3X3 crew cab for sale. It has a 5.7L motor with an automatic transmission and is also 4 wheel drive. Truck only had 15,000 miles on it. The skid unit has a 200 gallon fiberglass tank with a hale pump that is run by a Vanguard 18HP V-Twin gas engine. Sealed bid minimum is $8,000. All bids are due by March 23, 2010. William R. (Davy) Davis

William R. (Davy) Davis

It is with our deepest and sincerest regrets to inform you that William R. (Davy) Davis has answered his last alarm on February 19th, 2010. Davy was a longtime member of the Sharptown and Seaford Fire Departments as a FireFighter/Paramedic. Davy was also a founding member of the Barren Creek Band playing rythm guitar and singing. Davy will be greatly missed by everyone who had a chance to meet him.

A time of visitation for Davy will be from 7-9PM will be @ Oak Ridge......

24 Hour Refresher!

January 30, 2010 - Reminder to all EMT's!

There will be a 24 hour refresher held at SVFD on Jan. 30th, Feb. 7th and Feb 13th. Class will start at 0800 Hours. Class is free to all SVFD members and employees. Class is $125.00 for anyone else. Please sign up in the EMS Office by January 23rd, 2010. All others can call the station at 302-629-3112 to sign up. Money is due by Jan. 23rd 2009.
