James Durr

James Durr began his Fire/EMS service in 2019 when he joined the Highland Chemical Engine Company in NJ as a junior, and has held various positions there since. He obtained his NREMT in 2021 and has worked at different departments in both DE and NJ. 

James’ certifications include proboard firefighter 1, proboard hazmat Technician, Advanced vehicle rescue, RIT, ice water rescue technician, EVOC, NIMS ICS, 100,200,and 700, AHA CPR, and NREMT. 

James has been part of the career staff at SVFD since January of 2022.

James currently serves as President of IAFF Local 5121 which represents Seaford, Blades and Roxana Career Staff.
