MVC with Entrapment ; Southbound Sussex Highway

On Monday Morning, August 28, 2017 at 0136 hour, Seaford Fire was alerted along with Rescue 71 and Sussex County Paramedics to a Motor Vehicle Crash with entrapment on Sussex Highway South Bound, in the area of Bartons. Ambulance 72 was added to the response and arrived on scene 1st with 1 person trapped under the rear of a Tractor Trailer. Command 87 (Captain Truitt) was advised by the Extrication Officer to start a heavy wrecker due to the type of entrapment. Extrication was completed in 36 minutes. Seaford EMS and Paramedics transported 1 priority trauma patient to Nanticoke ER.
