Carlton B. “Spuck” Bennett
It is with extreme sadness that the Seaford Volunteer Fire Department announces the passing of 63 year member, Carlton B. "Spuck" Bennett. Spuck was Past President, Past Chief, President Emeritus, and Life Member of the Seaford Volunteer Fire Department. In Sussex County he was Past President of the County Firemen’s Association and the Fire Chief’s Association. In the State of Delaware and Delmarva he served two terms on the Delaware State Fire Prevention Commission, one of those terms a Commission Chairman. In 1990 he was elected as President Emeritus of the Delaware Volunteer Firemen’s Association and served for many years as Chairman of the State Fire Prevention Program. He was inducted into the Delmarva Fireman’s Association Hall of Fame in 1991. Spuck served on many committees in Seaford, Sussex County and the DVFA. He will be missed.
